Perfect Sugar Cookies (Easy)

We had a lot of fun making Halloween sugar cookies. This recipe was great!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter-flavored shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Roll out on floured surface between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick. (These cookies are supposed to be thick and soft. Don't roll too thin!) Cut into shapes and bake for 8-10 minutes at 350. Don't overbake! They should not get golden around edges at all. Frost with favorite frosting.
